The Phish that got away.
Hello fellow blogites.
Last night I opened an email from some low-life scum who thought he or she was going on a Phishing trip. I was told that I had to go to ebay and log in to verify my ebay account because someone was using my account fraudulantly. Here is the address they wanted me to go to http://scgi.ebay.com/verify_id=ebay&fraud alert idcode=95412563 . First off I thought it was fishy since I belong to Ebay.ca not dot.com. Then I opened it up to view the source code. I saw some stuff in there that looked really "Icky" as my girlfriend said. The third tip off is the fact that it was going to a http:// rather than a https:// .
I was warned several times from several sources (fellow internet marketers and ebay itself)about phishing. I thank god I took 10 minutes out of my busy work time to read those notices. I suppose I am doing my civic duty by informing you using this media, and I hope none of you get hooked in their scheme.
on another note I noticed that I am not getting as much money from my affiliate sites as I thought I should. I have a program that can shorten and hide my affiliate links so no one can steal from me. I think it is a sad state of affairs in the world that some bad, lazy scum resort to stealing from others rather than just put the same or less amount of work into just working the different opportunities available for themselves. It is not rocket science. If you keep stealing from people (like the leach you are) the person is going to die (stop doing business on the net). Of course there are always more suckers going on online every day.
This is one price for freedom and free enterprise;being every carefull. Good luck out there, the phishers have big nets. I just cut a hole in one of their nets and got away and told other fish where the hole is. If we all look after each other, the guttless cowards would have to rob the traditional way, mugging or at the point of a gun. Here endth my rant for today! Michael
