Is S. Harper( big "C") George Bush's Mini-me?
We all read the articles and saw the stories about Harper telling the states he was not about to jump in bed with them if elected, but can you trust that? From what I have been hearing from him and the candidates running under his flag, we would be putting on the slinky underwear and giving "come hither" looks the night the election was over. His ideas, if you can call them that, would have us fighting an unjust and immoral war, just to be buddies with Bush.
Cracking down on guns will be as futile as the whole gun registry is. It make perfect sense to legalise a relatively harmless drug like pot, rather than keep it illegal and filling our justice system and wasting good taxpayer's money on a bunch of potheads. In Holland and Danmark they have a system of legalisation that for the most part works and crime is not a huge factor. When an addict can get their drug for free or cheaply they will not steal or beat up you up to get it. At the same time they have a system to help those addicts if they want it. For the person who has a friendly toke at a party or uses it like a businessman uses a cocktail after a long day at work, should they be tossed in jail and waste the time (and money) of several cops and the justice system? That time and money could be better spent getting the hard drugs and guns off the street.
Lets think this through a little harder, eh Mr. Harper.
